It should also be added that BON JOVI had the biggest highest Grossing TOUR of the year, unlike previous reports that Madonna did, Jovi's "Lost Highway" tour brought in the most $$, ironically they were not even going to tour for that record.

Well i wouldn't say that she isn't a real artist, i think she has evolved into a successful pop act...its just that the more famous she gets the more she screeches her voice on her albums.
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I think then we can apply that to almost Everyone recording now since they are all taking from someone

She's an artist. I don't think there's anything wrong with taking a sample now and then as long as the song has its own identity and doesn't sound a whole complete remake. Obviously, when samples are used from permission of the originators of the songs, they don't mind it because they are still getting paid. But its another thing when its done deceitfully.
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

she doesn't always sample..., there is some artistry with samples if done correctly.
I'm talking stealing chordal arrangements through interpolation...
Which is legal way as posing off something that isnt truly original as original.
Any moron can steal the chord progression of an old hit song and create a somewhat original melody
Least when Jazz musicians did it they gave credit to the original writers...
she doesn't even do that, she can go fuck her self

I just find her music incredibly boring, and her voice is completely ruined by mis-use of it.

At first i liked her, her first cd is hott, but after that, she started getting boring to me too. The second one was okay, but this one out now, i couldn't even stand to listen to it the one time that i did.

I love her and As I Am is my favorite of her. She copies the soul songs from the late 60s, early 70s. So what?
Others are borrowing from the early 80s. What would YOU say is the current sound? It's all about reintroducing old sounds,

And I'm thankful for a Alicia Keys who tries to make soulful records with atimeless production that a stupid whore like Shitney who has no involvement in her songs whatsoever.

It should have been. She is amazing. And this album is classic.

I'm so glad she can make adult music that has deep, moving emotion and doesn't feel the need to drop it low and gyrate in leotards.

her cd is nice but I was not amused this time. I prefer her first 2 and her voice has really gone down on this album

it's good she plays piano but take that away and she's just another r&b singer

By the way, it's funny how she was the best seller though I'd rather it be her than high school musical or something hip hop, cause no one was talking about her much in 2008, beyonce, britney and mariah got way more hype and madonna had the biggest tour

Note: Data is from Billboard’s Dec 1, 2007 issue through November 29, 2008 (including sales data from Nov. 12, 2007 through November 16, 2008).

In the calendar year, Lil Wayne sold the most, selling 2.88 albums which is an all-time low for the best selling album of the year. The best selling single of 2008 outsold the best selling album.

That's sad...what was the best selling single of 2008? Was it touch my body?

It was "Bleeing Love" by Leona Lewis, selling 3,420,000 downloads.

"Touch My Body" only sold a million or so, far from being one the best selling hits of 2008.

Really can't stand her sucky cliche music and her horrible voice. The fact that she's sold as some 'classic-authentic' artist makes me want to throw up. Give me a drugged out Amy Winehouse (or Whitney for that matter) any day of the week.

Amy's good. But then so is Alicia.

Whitney? Now that's the pop princess right there. And she doesn't even write her music or play instruments.

But she's better than Alicia? Yeah. OK> Whitney's a vocal stylist.

Now, I like Whitney's voice. Don't get me wrong.

But being an artist is not about having a great voice. So, I'm not sure why Whitney's name is being "preached" here. LOL.
