Ahh, I remember him nod I loved the song w/ Rachel Ferrell too... & he had some nice ones on the album w/ "I Try" - "She", "I'll Wait" & "Something's Going On"... I guess he was just too mellow or something...

My mom loves this cat, but he is just too damn boring for me. I told her to never put his cd on if i'm driving because thats a guaranteed case of "falling asleep at the wheel". evillol

COLD! lol I can see that, I have to be in the mood for him. But when I am in that mood, he's great smile

I thought of another singer:

Jesse Powell. His cover of "Gloria" was GREAT!

yeah, Jesse should of been huge. He has a great falsetto. I loved "You" and his cover of One Way's "Something In The Past" is almost as good as the original.

That's 'cause your mom knows good music. The crap they have out today called r&b is too manufactured and no real creativity. There's a lot of new, independent r&b artists today with real talent, that don't get the spotlight on them, like they should. Instead the manufactured so-called r&b artists are being marketed, the ones with no real creativity or uniqeness to their voices.
[Edited 1/2/09 16:24pm]

Okay yeah, Will Downing might be a good artist to you, but just because I find him boring doesn't mean that I don't know good R&B music when I hear it. We all have different tastes in good R&B. biggrin
