Oh yes, and "David Peaston" ...that brutha had a beautiful voice! He won on the Apollo show and that is when his career took off, but only lasted a short while.
I love Will Downing, There was a track of his I used to play over and over again. He's still around, but wasn't marketed earlier in his career like he should have been. [Edited 1/2/09 15:47pm]

She didn't have any personality either. She was like the virgin version of Aaliyah. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

[Edited 1/2/09 15:38pm] That's her most famous song, but Love Saw It and The Way You Love Me were my fave songs by her. She was gorgeous in that video.

Miki was the TRUTH in her heyday.
Gerald Levert wrote a song for her called Crazy. It was a REAL "Art Imitates Life" document considering the stormy affair they had back in the day. Oh I absloutly A-D--R-E that song!!!

[Edited 1/2/09 16:02pm] Ahh, I remember him I loved the song w/ Rachel Ferrell too... & he had some nice ones on the album w/ "I Try" - "She", "I'll Wait" & "Something's Going On"... I guess he was just too mellow or something...

The crap they have out today called r&b is too manufactured and no real creativity. There's a lot of new, independent r&b artists today with real talent, that don't get the spotlight on them, like they should. Instead the manufactured so-called r&b artists are being marketed, the ones with no real creativity or uniqeness to their voices. [Edited 1/2/09 16:24pm]
