I think he has a second one out, but I don't know how good it is? Yeah, Javier's 1st CD was real tight. "Crazy" was the shit. His 2nd CD - Booty. nWo: bboy87 - Timmy84 - LittleBlueCorvette - MuthaFunka - phunkdaddy - Christopher

Completely agreed, I don't know why Tamia isn't a bigger star. She can sing (and sounds great live too might I add), has good music and has the right "look" that seems to matter so much in today's industry. She is genuinely talented. I don't get it. Others I was expecting to be bigger: Tevin Campbell Chante Moore Keith Washington Blu Cantrell Johnny Gill (Had a few solo hits and his first album did well, but still expected him to be bigger. I mean this guy can sing his ass off! So talented) Common [Edited 1/2/09 14:34pm] "And When The Groove Is Dead And Gone, You Know That Love Survives, So We Can Rock Forever" RIP MJ

Even though I bought and enjoyed the albums of several listed here -- Van Hunt, Fante, Shand, etc. -- I never really expected them to be Rhythm and Blues stars. They were destined to take a back seat to the Rap and Beats singers. Yep. The first names that came to mind were Tamia and Glenn Lewis for me.
Tamia is beautiful and has the pipes so I have no idea why she didn't work. I also had high hopes for Jimmy Cozier.

An artist can have all the talent in the world, but if they aren't marketed properly then it goes down the drain. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

The last one, Let's Get The Mood Right, was a little slow, but was good nonetheless. I think all of the gay rumors and the Eddie Murphy association ruined his career as a solo artist. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

I just thought of Gerald Levert. As talented as he was, he never achieved mainstream success, nor did he win that many industry awards. Gerald was extremely talented and always sold well. He also managed to write some really big r&b songs. Many of them have become modern r&b classics. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

Why do people keep mentioning Common? He's bigger than he ever was. What more do you want him to be doing?

More. More what? I love me some Common, but he's doing movies, marketing his lil hats & shit, still making music. You want him to turn in to the male equivalent of Beyonkaswank so we can hate him?

Yes he's doing movies, hat's, and still making music, but musically I still think he's underappreciated. Thats all. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.
