Monica lets producer know she doesn't like his song

I guess this is a clip from her reality show? She's in the studio with Brian Michael Cox. The combination of his excitement and enthusiasm and her dislike of the song is hilarious. lol

She has some show on Peachtree TV. I don't get that channel. Sounds like it is Atlanta based.

I think her show is called "The Single."

And B. Cox kept calling it "soulful." I'm scared by what producers of today consider soul music.

Hmm. I love that they're already talking about the video before they don't even have a song yet.

She's 100% correct. If the record flops, it's on her. That guy can go produce whoever he wants to and if it flops, he still has a career. Good for her for standing up for herself! That track WAS a piece of shit. lol

And yeah, she is hot! Gray I dunno what you're talking aobut, I like the tat! lol

lol I kept waiting for something to happen with the track but it was just there getting lamer and lamer as the seconds passed. And he was serious with that.

I like Monica because of stuff like that clip. She keeps it real. It's funny that I see this cause I was listening to "Angel of Mine" the other day and I forgot how much I loved that song and that was 10 yrs ago. I would love for her to have a pop comeback. She had some great songs in the 90's and ever since she started having a harder hip-hop sound, she hasn't been sounding that great. I'm rooting for her and hopefully, she'll have that hit song that she's looking for that I will enjoy again.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

And it was repetitive like a LOT of his shit is. He only hit twice with Mariah & Mary (but that was only because they added the drama to his lame tracks). Everything else falls on the wayside, lol. The stuff he did with Toni was also awful.

What songs has he done? I probably know them but I couldn't name them if you paid me to.

co-nod I love that she kept it 100 with that fool about that wack shit. I wish more "artists" would voice themselves like this instead of jumping into whatever is 'sposed to be "hot." Good for her but she definitely needs to drop that ZERO. thumbs up!

"We Belong Together"
"Be Without You"
"Trippin'"

...they're mainly the ones I remember tho I did hear more stuff that I forgot the song titles too that he did and he'd had the same beats. Usually the ones with the lame piano solo and the handclaps! lol

It makes me wonder how many of these artists do this kind of thing, tell their producers "HELL NO, I'm not doing this song"? Can't be that many with all the shit songs on the radio now but I still wonder.

Oh I know and like most of those songs. Who sings "Trippin"? You're right about one thing, they have the same beats and the same piano too. lol

This was the first time I've seen it! Hideous!

One thing i think is interesting though is that when she was still in heavy radio and video rotation, she use to go through great pains to keep it covered. At the time, said she didn't want to influence young girls to imitate something that had been a personal decision for her own body. I thought that showed some semblence of respect for herself as a teen singing role model as well as her younger fans.

But lawd, yes, the tat IS hideous lol

Actually, I think it was Shake it Off not We Belong Together. It's amazing how many people he's produced but I can never remember his face or name. lol He did the remix of Maxwell's Lifetime which I love.

http://en.wikipedia.org/w...ichael_Cox

But, unfortunately, dude REALLY wants to be a singer. This summer I saw him opening up for Raheem Devaughn and LAWDY that boy CANNOT sing but he was howlin' his lil heart out anyway. confused

lol
