The mid-80s gave us alot of songs like this....

"Sugar Free" by Juicy
"Tell Me How It Feels" by 52nd Street
"Juicy Fruit" by Mtume
"Outstanding" by the Gap Band
"Hangin On A String" by Loose Ends
"Tell Me If You Still Care" by SOS Band

breezy, midtempo, melodic grooves that felt so good music songs where you can just kick back and really get into!

No,Vainandy likes 80s midtempo jams.He even likes slow jams from this period too....just as long as it's soulful and not "pop-sounding" like a certain female artist from this period, lol.

Actually, a lot of those you listed were from the early 80s. I don't consider something mid 80s until 1985 after you-know-who came on the scene with her influence. And most importantly, those songs weren't adult contemporary sounding.

Yeah, I like most of those songs you listed. However.....if they had dominated the radio back then, I would have eventually grown to hate them. In the early 80s, midtempo songs were in the minority and there weren't enough of them to become sick of them.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.
