Notice the "MUSIC FIRST" in the title. They left part of the title off: Music, the 1st 2 be thrown out.....along with talent. [Edited 1/13/09 7:09am]

1.They're cheap to make and can be filmed with 6 weeks time. Long gone are 3/4 year filming schedules with having to pay the Seinfelds and the Friends $1 million dollars per episode. The recoup and franchise opportunities are too much of a cash cow for them to stop perpetzuating the nonsense. 2. It allows the networks to capitalize on the brand recognition of the washed-up has been however small. Through the word of mouth of that demogeraphic, plus a few ratings grabbing antics, they can snag new viewers equipped with small attention spans, and well, ride it out all the way to the bank via ad revenue, ect based on ratings. Yup...it's a money thing. Just like how video killed the radio star, now reality shows are killing the video icons. I wonder what's the next step from here

http://www.tvparty.com/so...eddray.ram "You can call me Ray or you can call me Jay..." I was kind of looking forward to it. Who wants to screw a washed up comedian whose one famous bit was famous back in 1979??? I bet they would have found LOTS of women ready to apply. This show sounds pretty good though. You just made my day! I had forgotten about this bit. Was he on the Pryor show? Or a Redd Foxx jam? He was definitely on Redd Foxx's show and I remember him on a lot of those "variety" programs that were big in the late 70s. He also had a disco hit with chicks singing "You can call me Ray..." Whatever, Disco Duck made money too.

I think the show will be horribly bad.
BUT ....after seeing the sex tape. I can see why he would hold some appeal (off camera - of course)! " I often watch you, the way you whore yourself. You are so beautiful, the way you flirt and tease. How I wish you would flirt with me." --- MeShell N'degeOchello

I wonder what's the next step from here Not really true, the so called REALITY show "The Hills" those chicks get 100,000 an episode, which is about 99,999 dollars too much. Im tired of hearing the crap that "Tv and movie stars" want too much so get SHIT talent for nothing. People like the "seinfelds" and the Tom Cruises and others all bring in ZILLIONS of dollars for the "owners", why shouldnt they get something.
