And the gang ties stretch to alot of the LAPD members, as well as Suge Knight and alot of his artists at the time, so they are all involved, and for the record covering up a felony/murder is a crime, though no one will ever be prosecuted for it.

After their arrest, some construction workers found a skeleton at their site, but they were investigating as to whether or not John Gotti was involved in it before he died of throat cancer. I believe when Gotti's underboss sang like a canary on him and others, plus is put under protection, it opened up a whole can of worms. Now there's a 1 million dollar hit out on him. So yes, if the police can cover up mob hits, they can cover up Biggie's murder, and that's by being involved.
