This speaks volumes about public image as it refers to African American Males. In the mainstream media Sean P and Kanye are the two current relevant African American Males. In fact if something happened like a New Orleans Flood you know CNN would be waiting outside of Kanye's door for a soundbite. They may want his reaction way before Obama's.
It's kinda how the mainstream media higlights one hot Black female at a time (Halle Berry I'm lookin' at you). While Angela Basset is a much better actress and has been doing it just as long, Halle is seen as THE black actress (even without the Oscar). Kinda sad. No one confuses Brad Pitt and George Clooney.
