George Michael does fantastic Stevie Wonder covers!

Stevie's versions are better, though.... except ONE song, I think. George's version of "They Won't Go..." is better produced and more dramatically sung. George was at his peak around 1990!
GM did Love's In Need Of Love Today and Too Shy Too Say on his Faith tour, Another Star on the 25 Live tour and several Stevie covers on C2C.Last but not least HE turned me into a SW fan!!

He should make an album out of it, and record some more. "George Michael Sings The Stevie Wonder Songbook"

Like Ella, he can do the modern day soul singers. He can do Al Green, Sam Cooke, lemmesayBillWithersorJonywillhaveanotherfit, Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, etc, etc.

nod I've been saying that for years. While I don't prefer any of his covers to the real thing, he's damned good at it! Don't forget "I Believe (When I Fall in Love It Will Be Forever)," which was a b-side. He's also done "Village Ghetto Land" as well.

I can't stand "As" however I love the hell out of "They Won't Go...." LWP was so solid despite it flopping.

well, it was no flop. It sold 2 Mio (in the US) which is good. Compared to Faith it was "not that good". But does it any wonder, he didn't promote it! He was not that keen on sales and stuff.
The only flop of the LWP project is that he didn't release Vol.2

what do I have to do to not only show links but pictures, windows whatever from those videos?
You're right, how could I forget about Village Ghetto Land!? George looked as good as never before and after during the Mandela concert!!

His cover of "If I was your woman" he of courses changes it to "if I was your man" is one of my all time fav. GM hits..."You're like a diamond but he treats U like glass, yet U beg him to love U with me U don't ask" Damn!!!I play this song still like he just recorded it...He just does some great music and it's a shame that his legacy isn't what it should be here in America...

that's what I'm saying but it was his own decision to NOT appear in his videos and not promoting him when actually most of his fans were (and ARE still) keen on his ass rather than his music,

I think that's part why his legacy isn't what it should be as well. The Beatles gaines respect by music critics, they went from teen acts to larger than life musicians...
George missed that step. LWP was supposed to be that but it didn't function. Obviously most of his fans were turned off by the not-existing picture on the album sleeve and stuff.

Even on his fan forums most decisions slide into his ass and looks rather than his music.

I'm glad on this forums are many who love GM's music as much as I do.

Can't beat Stevie (because he's my favorite artist and I'm biased) but George does really well. I especially love his cover of They Won't Go When I Go. Great work.
