Barbara Mason - Another Man (1983) - she predated Terry McMillian, LOL!

Barbara's pissed here, she can't believe her man is bi. falloff

That's what she gets for stealing all the other women's men (Shirley Brown, Betty Wright, etc.) hah!

Great dance tune tho regardless of the subject matter.

This was another one of those "answer" records, that were popular back in the 80's. This was one of the responses to "She's got papers on me", by Richard "Dimples" Fields.

This was actually her answer song to her own answer to Richard's song ("She's Got the Papers (But I Got the Man)") where she basically admitted she stole Betty Wright's man, lol. This song was like the aftermath. Barbara didn't steal any more men after that...oh but of course that's because her career was interrupted for some crazy reason.

I think it was a Shep production. They used to play it here on 98.7 kiss FM as part of his "Master Mix series. I remember when it played you would here the staion call letters in the middle of the song.

Love this one. Reminds me of a scene in Paris Is Burning.

The thing is, I really remember this song being the jam on radio when it was released...but somehow the meaning of the lyrics TOTALLY went through our virgin ears and over our naive little heads back then falloff
