The failure of an album is no excuse for not touring.An artist is supposed to stand behind their work,regardless of how many copies it sells.Mariah (like many other pop artists) is just lazy.An artist of her stature should be on the road every two years,with a new,exciting show each time.

The 2006 tour was one of my favorite shows of all time, and I saw Madonna the same year.

Her style and most of her music is better suited to a cabaret type of show cuz she CANNOT move and because she actually sings (sometimes) she can't be jumping around anyway. Sadly, her live voice has deteriorated GREATLY over the last 10 years but I would still go see her in a small venue.

Very True, and the problem is that it didnt do anything overseas. The time to tour on this record was instantly, not a year later, Mariah is not the type of person you run to see in concert, mainly because her shows are not structured properly. She needs a change, she needs to look back at her singing "Vanishing" in a club from the first album, and get with that program. Though its great seeing her parade around in almost nothing, she did that on the MIMI tour, its time to move on and give something else.

Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Lopez, and Gwen Stefani were all pregnant while touring a few years ago and their kids all look like they came out okay...so far anyway. Honestly, I think one of the major reasons that most artists aren't touring much nowadays is because the economy is soo bad right now and they feel that they will lose money if they aren't able to sell loads of tickets. Sadly many of them want to be greedy muthafuckas and charge ridiculously high prices for their shows. If they sold tickets for cheaper, they could probably book bigger venues and sell more seats and still make a nice profit, but they want to be high, drunk, or on a out-of-control ego trip when they start making up ticket prices. There's no artist I like enough to pay my rent money on. No artist's show is better than having a roof and four walls with some doors and windows, but that's just my .

But since you brought it up, she's another one that needs to realize her limitations and setup a Cirque du Soleil-type show in Vegas. Her lack of vocal skills but artistic vision lends itself to Vegas very well. But, everyone wants to hang on to their former glory.

i wouldnt pay to see mariah live if tickets were selling for a nickel. american idol contestants put on a better live act than she does. these days that poor thing wouldn't make it passed the audition phase. just dreadful.
