Ohh wee, them boys from that area just had "it." It think it was the arrangements and the how they recorded the vocals with echo or "reverb" that made them song so smoove.

Not to mention each of them groups always had that "high" mothafucka (you know what I'm talkin' about). I always wanted to be him ...

Exactly! nod The high vocalists always sold the song. I wished I was in a group with either William Hart, Smokey Robinson, Eddie Kendricks, Curtis Mayfield, etc.

When I was in high school, me and my boys would always pretend we was a doo - wop group, I was always the "high" knicka. lol

Haha, every time I'd hear a Dells song or something I'll harmonize Johnny Carter's high part but I could get the rougher tones too from Junior Marvin. I actually sung that long note Junior sung on "Stay in My Corner". I didn't think I was gonna do it so I surprise myself! lol
