Groups in Philly, Chi-Town and Detroit were all smooth as fuck. Ohh wee, them boys from that area just had "it." It think it was the arrangements and the how they recorded the vocals with echo or "reverb" that made them song so smoove. Not to mention each of them groups always had that "high" mothafucka (you know what I'm talkin' about). I always wanted to be him ... PRINCE: Always and Forever

Haha, every time I'd hear a Dells song or something I'll harmonize Johnny Carter's high part but I could get the rougher tones too from Junior Marvin.
