Leona Lewis has the top song for 2008 which is Bleeding Love it sold 9.4 million copies
Coldplay have the biggest album in 08 which is Viva La Vida it sold 6.4 million copies
Plus there is more info on musicgoss site. At the moment its the top 2 stories. Prince story is still on the first page too:)

It asks what people think will be biggest seller album in 2009. What you people think? I agree about U2. I been racking my brain thinking but I cant think of any exciting albums for 2009. of course the MJ one but like it says. who knows if that will EVER come out hahaha. *expects all the prince.org MJ fans who thinks this is a MJ forum to jump on me and tell me he WILL release it*

Its no so much the "excitement" i have a shitload of releases that have me "excited" for release but they wont be "sellers" of this caliber. I would have say U2 just from hearing what is coming first quarter 2009. U2 as has been said are a "global" band, they arent a US band or a UK band, they are global and universal, and in this day and age, you have to be bigger overseas than the usa. The Springsteen release will do well, and i aagree the "walmart" exclusive is very smart because they are planning to delete his old greatest cd and pull it from stores. As for the new album, i have heard 3 tracks and its very strong once again from Bruce.
