Mooney is brilliant!

This is why I love the org. So many people have no idea who Paul Mooney is.

Richard Pryor. The Wayans. He wrote for everybody. A true Comedy Legend.

As a performer, he's okay, but not great. He laughs at his own jokes and comes across as too effeminate for some. (BTW, is he gay? Not that it matters, but someone asked me, and I had no idea.)

What's he doing nowadays?

Paul Mooney is so funny! I've seen him live. My only problem with him (and anyone else who does it) is his use of the word nigger. It makes me so uncomfortable. I wish the word would just go away, but I digress.

Was Paul Mooney ever on Good Times? Florida had a brother or something with gambling problems who called her Pookie. He gave her a check (from his winnings) to move out of the ghetto. Was that him?

Really because your post made it seem that you were speaking for everyone !!! I have seen Paul Mooney numerous times and the whole audience was laughing so hard they had tears in their eyes. I have played his comedy CD;s for people who never heard of him and they were laughing so hard they had tears in their eyes.

You have a right to your opinion and I have a right to say your full of crap based on why I have viewed with my own eyes.

Paul Mooney is a WALKING fire he spits nothing but the truth,,,,thats what sets him apart from the other comedians, the fact that his jokes make you think(even if some of them are outlandish and abit out there).

Folks like him & Dick Gregory don't get alot of breaks, because most of what they say don't sit well with people.

I've been to one of his stand up routines once, and at some point some white dude stood up and walked outta there,,,,he(Paul) said that he got used to seeing that. Thats why I understand that his comedy ain't for everybody, because he REALLY steps on some toes.

I love the sound of Mooney's voice, LOL. It's great for him as a comedian.

And yeah some of his words are offensive, but the way he speaks the language along with perfect timing is brilliant.
