Now you know I'm the keeper of the flame for anything TSC related but I never liked this track. In fact although there were some good songs circa 1987 I never liked the production (too dull) or the instrumentation (too slick). They were going for a contemporary r&b sound and because of this it's the only period of TSC's work that has really dated.

Dee's voice is cool though, have you heard any of her 4 solo albums? The Slam Slam album is especially good.

You don't like this one? I LOVE it I really like the whole "Here's Some That Got Away" compilation. It may sound somewhat narrowminded, but I LOVE almost all of TSC's work but I don't really have much interest for The Jam's material(aside from a few LPs) and I'm slowly getting into Paul's solo work. His solo debut is great

The period around 87 I just didn't get. I still went to the gigs & bought the vinyl but it just never connected with me. Most of the previously unreleased stuff from HSTGA were from this era which is why I guess you like it.

Dee's solo albums are ok apart from her first which I wasn't keen on. They are:
Shrine
Free Your Feelings (released as Slam Slam)
Things Will Be Sweeter
Smiles (Japanese only release)

They are all quite easy to find and relatively inexpensive apart from Smiles which will cost a pretty penny.

I really like The Jam's "The Gift" LP but the early stuff is just not growing on me. I'm probably gonna take some time to really listen to it because I really enjoy understanding the evolution of my favorite artists
