I got this as a gift last year for Christmas. I love this set with a passion and listening to these songs made me appreciate the craft and emotion of Luther. Check me out and add me on:

I still prefer the albums. I got this boxed set last year and was disappointed. I thought they did a good job of encompassing his career, but the content was lacking. Especially when they included songs like "Jump To It" from Aretha when we could have gotten an outtake or rare remix. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

There are some odd selections on this set I also think they left off too many excellent album tracks, such as "Make Me A Believer" (actually, this was released as a single in early 1984). | |

I know there were rare tracks on there, but I could have done without "Buy Me A Rose", "Jump To It", "Got You Home", "Shine" and a few others. They are not bad songs, they just could have been replaced with either different outtakes or other album trax. If they were including the work he did with others, how about his version of "What Can A Miracle Do" or even Dionne's version. I would have also like to have seen some early live performances added. A live rendition of Make Me A Believer or Superstar from the 80s would have been magical. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

What a voice... It's really hard. I really miss going to his shows and buying new music. I was hoping they would release a new cd of outtakes or something this year, but I guess with his mom dying that stopped. Maybe Fonzi Thornton can convince his family (or who's in charge of his catalog) to release something new. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-
