So Mary J Was Supposed To Play Billie Holiday In A Movie??

ON HOLIDAY Nearly 30 years after Diana Ross won an Oscar nomination in the role, R&B diva Mary J. Blige will be playing Billie Holiday in a biopic about Holiday's musical partner, Lester Young. The project, written by composer - producer Buddy Bregman, ''is definite,'' says Blige, who intends to sing Holiday's blues herself on the soundtrack. ''We're just waiting for a leading man.''
