As for dancing? Britney, I think, has the edge.

Britney is a bigger pop phenomenon, but part of that is the train-wreck effect.

Britney, unlike Beyonce, revived the whole Madonna, Janet Jackson, Paula Abdul tradition of a sexy girl who is not a great singer, but a fun performer.

Beyonce is nearer to the Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston level in terms of her singing. She still has a ways to go, though.

Sorry, but No. Regarding any form of music or musical entertainment, Britney Spears is NOT better than Beyonce.

I just don't see how ANYONE could claim Britney is the better TECHNICAL singer. You like the sound of Britney's voice and all its effects dumped into Pro Tools...fine. No accounting for taste.

And lets just be real about who has more overall artistic input and control. Britney is a puppet, she is a great dancer with a hot body just like 489294022 other girls with her exact look, who, under the tutelage of Wade Robson, Tina Landon, Shane Sparks, and countless other choreographers she had the privilege of training with 10 hours a day, has emerged as some sort of post modern dance icon. Nevermind there is NOTHING new or pioneering about her dancing, NOTHING that hasn't been already done primarily by Janet, but also Paula Abdul, Madonna, MJ, Usher, TLC, so on and so forth.

Beyonce, on the other hand, while not much of a pioneer in front of the camera or in the vocal booth, is innovative and interesting in her abilities as a writer and producer. Very few pop divas at her young age have had the 360 input in their own sound, lyrics, production, arrangements, vocals, and overall sonic presentation that Beyonce has had since the DC days. No denying her octave range or vocal power could blow Brit Brit off the stage any night of the week; but then again, lets get real, Beyonce isn't doing anything vocally that hasn't been beat to death by Mariah, Aretha, Tina, Chaka, Chilli, Janet, Dawn Robinson, Patti Labelle, Aaliyah, Sade, or Erykah before her.

Singer, no but dancing, a tie.

I don't know what you guys are seeing... Britney can't dance to me.. Sure she's known for her choreography but she looks like shit doing it to me... It doesn't come off as natural

Beyonce is a smart woman with talent. She may not be the icon that she wants the world to think she is, but she does have some talent.

I would call both of them entertainers/performers, neither of them are artists.

Beyonce beats Britney in the singing department

Britney beats Beyonce in the dancing department...however both of their moves should be credited to their choreographers.

And does Beyonce actually write her songs? Or does she only claim to write them just to get that songwriting credit? I know she wrote Bootylicious...but songs like "If I were a Boy" and Irreplaceable she didnt wrote but claimed she did.
