Suggestions 4 my Funk compilation,please!! A few months ago I made my own 2-disc Rock(hard) compilation,now it's time
2 make a Funky-groove compilation. It will include old school funk/soul like Patrice Rushen (forget me nots),Donna Summer (Love is in control) and off course Chic!! (I lately discovered Hanging and I can't believe I didn't knew this great song, shame on me!!),Tom Brown with Jamaica funk, EW&F,Lakeside.... I also discoverd a good funk mix including Slave,Lakeside,Cameo,Tom Brown, Funkadelic) Also 80's funk s like Cameo,Jesse Johnson,General Kane,Chico DeBarge (Talk to me),Alexander O'Neal, RFTW,Junior (mama used to say) and so on....(Maybe Prince's Erotic City) In fact, everything that has a great groove or bass line!! I also think I will include Tower Of Power with Diggin' on JB and something from Whodini. So,if someone knows some great funky songs that I could forget or don't know about...feel free 2 give your suggestions!! And I know there are some real funk-connaisseurs around here Thanx..and great holidays!! [Edited 12/22/08 1:37am] [Edited 12/22/08 8:47am] Love4oneanother

Since when did R&B stand for Rythym & Bass?
Specially since you are talking about old-school.

Specially since you are talking about old-school. I call it Rythm&Bass because I don't wanna include today's R&B on my cd's. Well,maybe I should call it Groove&Funk ? Love4oneanother

Get some Sly Stone on there, and early 70's Temptations (Psychadelic Shack, U need Love Like I Do) would be good, bit of Marvin (Gotta Give It Up). have fun. [Edited 12/22/08 11:38am]
