New Jody Watley - "Candlelight" I grabbed this from another message board. I thought it was good info to pass along: Jody has not released anything to radio in the US since 1998 when she had a Top 30 R&B hit with "Off The Hook". The Flower album was not even released in the United States until it hit iTunes a few months ago, so you have to go back to 1995's Affection to find the last time Jody put out an R&B album in the United States. Since then, she's released a few dance albums here, 2003's Midnight Lounge and 2006's The Makeover which featured newly recorded remixes of her old hits as well as a handful of covers. In 2009, Jody is going to be releasing her tenth solo album, Chameleon, which will see her veering back towards R&B, and "Candlelight" is the lead single. "Candlelight" is now available on iTunes and available for streaming on Jody's MySpace. It's a good song, but with her being signed to an independent label, I doubt they're going to give it much of a push. Some Urban AC stations should pick it up though. It's really smooth, and Jody sounds as good as ever. It reminds me of some of her Affection album tracks. http://www.myspace.com/jodywatley **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

It's listed on the player on the left: http://www.myspace.com/jodywatley I'm not crazy about Candlelight... it's okay but I'm looking forward to the album and I'm digging the cover. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

I don't know that I would call "The Makeover" a dance album. But who I am to judge that insane discography rationalization. I loved "Midnight Lounge" but nothing from her so far as impressed me after that.

I agree with u. The Makeover was not a true dance album. I did enjoy a few of the covers on there, but the majority I didn't like. I have previewed the tracks on her myspace page and am not that impressed. I have always looked to Jody as an innovator. The clips on her page are very bland. I'll probably still buy the cd, but am not excited yet. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-
