i know she's a tragic mess but i love her. i've been listening to america's sweetheart a lot lately and i've heard three new songs from the upcoming record "nobody's daughter" and i'm really loving what she's doing. actually, PCH (a new song) has been on repeat for the past hour or so, lol.

i dont see her name come up much here so i guess the org doesn't think much of her, in general. i think she's pretty alright, though. has anyone heard any of the new stuff? if so, what do you think of it - if at all?

I agree, she's a mess. I loved her work with Hole. When is this album going to come out??? She's been working on it forever. I think she's having issued getting it released.

I love her, too. To be honest I'm a bigger fan of Hole though than what she's done as a solo artist. Live Through This and Celebrity Skin are two of the greatest records of all time. I liked a few songs on America's Sweetheart, but overall I was a little disappointed. My favorite song on there was Almost Golden.
I heard some of her new stuff. It's okay, but it's a little two soft and acoustic and middle of the road. It's a little hard to get used to. I prefer more of the fierce electric guitar rock driven stuff.
But I'm hopeful her new record will be worthwile. I heard something about it being released Jan. 1 on the Internet.

i like the direction of the new record (from what i've heard)...very stevie nicks/fleetwood mac but with the lyrics that only c lo could write. she's still answering to guilt over kurt as well as making a mess of herself publicly, but its more reflective than angry. i'd hope at 40-something that would be the case. her voice is still rough and there's still not a microphone that loves her but i'm hoping the few new tracks are indicative of what the new record will offer.

I'm a fan of her and Hole. She's about the only hot mess that I still love. Saw a picture of her and Frances and was wondering what she was up to. For awhile there she really seemed to be getting it together. Then nothing.

i think she was having some problems with virgin, not to mention in her personal life. we'll see if buddhism changes her outlook on life. not even sure if she's on a label now...but i know she and billy corgan have been working on this record together and, supposedly, they've been "a thing" so maybe he managed to push the right people for a release?
