Great Slow jam by Slick, my favorite part is the breakdown towards the end:
When you lose the one you love And the teardrops start to fall Don't hesitate or even wait Say you love her, thinking of her Give the one you love your all and all All and all, all and all Give her all the love you got

It's a damn shame that the 'Throwin Down' CD is out of print Motown has done such a lousy job with Rick's catalog.

Quick question, can Rick James sang? I mean really. Or does he stay within his limitations? Like of course he is not Luther or Donny, but I can listen to Rick James all day as opposed to Luther. Same with Steve Arrington. What do you call a voice like Ricks? I am confused.I guess it is all subjective. Upper persuasion for the lower invasion

I think Rick was a good singer, but his voice wasn't his main talent. He is much more known for his skills as a overall songwriter/producer and performer.Alot of the funk artists (George Clinton,Sly Stone, etc) weren't technically great singers, imo, but that's okay.
