OK, what is up with this Tay Zonday dude? (NSFFP: Not Safe For Funky People) For those that probably access YouTube daily like moi, you know that you see certain individuals that make you go "huh?" Last time I talked about a man who was singing MJ songs and other songs...badly, well this guy has been around the block for a year and honest to God, I don't know what is so "great" about this guy. True he has his own style of music and he's an independent artist so to speak but he looks like Steve Urkel's little brother and apparently his "Chocolate Rain" video is now at 32 million views mainly from people that either are wondering why this childlike dude speaks with a James Earl Jones-type of baritone and sings like Paul Robeson ( ), or why he "moves away from the mike so he can breathe in..." ( ), or why he looks as if he's gonna drool right in front of you when he sings up-close. He's 26 too and is a grad student from Minneapolis so I guess "good for him". But seriously what do you think about this dude? Here's his channel, I ain't gonna embed videos, I just want input on this dude. His songs in general are...interesting tho but he's got the wrong voice for them. http://www.youtube.com/user/TayZonday His real name is actually Adam Bahner. Imagine that... Welcome to last year.
It's best if you watch "Chocolate Rain" and then "Cherry Chocolate Rain." "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis | |
