Requesting some good trance/house/dance/techno

Does anyone have some good trance, house, techno, dance music they wouldn't mind recommending to me. I'm loving this track right now.

Thanks in advance! biggrin

There are certainly better orgers to ask about this than me, but I really liked the Eric Prydz remix of Lola's Theme. It's particularly cool after you've heard the original mix...

Original:

Eric Prydz remix:

μηδὲν ὅλως σὺ λυποῦ
πρὸς ὀλίγον ἐστὶ τὸ ζῆν
τὸ τέλος ὁ χρόνος ἀπαιτεῖ.”

The best Techno imo comes from where it began....Detroit. Hunt down anything by the masters who created it such as Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson, Juan Atkinson and Robert Hood. Other Detroit legends records you should grab include anything by Carl Craig, DJ Rolando, Suburban Knight and anything else by the legendary Underground Resistance crew. When you talk Techno no crew is more deadlier or important than legendary Detroit posse Underground Resistance.

Random Noise Generation kick some major ass too by the way.

A few other great Techno labels which consistantly release top stuff is "Slam" and "NRK". There's loads of others but they're the best place to start.

As for House...start with the Chicago stuff. That's also where it began and it still tends to release the best stuff. Start with the innovators DJ Frankie Knuckles and Derrick Carter.

I can't stand Trance at all.....although when I was much younger I used to really like an Italian guy called Rexanthony. He released one album in particular called "Techno Shock 4" which was absolutely awesome. If you can hunt that down do it as I'm sure you'd LOVE it.

You might also dig Ghetto Tech by guys like DJ Assault & DJ Bone too. It's kind of a fusion of Hip Hop and Techno. Another great crew you'd dig is Spank Rock from Baltimore. They're a Hip Hop crew although their mixes definatley venture well into Dance territory for the most part. Pick up their FabricLive mix to see what I mean.
