Quincy Jones is sad to see what's happened to Michael December 16, 2008 - 5:27 PM
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Quincy Jones is sad to see what's happened to Michael Jackson's career. Jackson hasn't released a CD of new music in seven years. Jones produced "Thriller." He saw what Jackson could do. Now, he hopes that Jackson will make a comeback after he comes "to grips with a lot of things in himself." Jones also reveals that he's spoken with Jackson about what he's done to his face. He says Jackson "used to apologize" to him about it all the time. But Jones says he didn't feel he could pressure Jackson because "that's a very personal decision." Jones is out with an autobiographical book called "The Complete Quincy Jones." http://www.cbs12.com/news...uincy.html

I will never under any circumstance believe anything that any Jackson fmaily member says, does, promises etc...there is no reason to, they have straight up lied on numerous occasions, and the REAL people i feel sorry for are the die-hard fans that just get jerked around with these rumours about albums, tours, etc, those people i feel sorry for. You needto get the right context. It seems Q's out promoting his book/cd and the question came up during the interview, but in any case it's called Music BUSINESS. test

I can understand Q speaking out, he must have watched in horror how the guy he first worked with on the Wiz went from attractive black guy to this distorted looking person he is today.
Teddy Riley said something similar during the Dangerous era: he said Michael regretted "messing" up his face. The fact is anyone who remembers Michael from the J5 days know by the time the Bad era came around Michael had gone too far with the surgery. By Bad he didn't even look like Michael Jackson anymore.

It's a pity Q couldn't give Michael a few 'home truths' back in the day, but i suppose Q made a shitload of money off Mike back in the day on that gravy train. more than he made in his whole career i'd bet.
So he kept his mouth shut, kept the gravy in there. 'Til now. Wonder why.

Well, it looks like Quincy may have not said it, but a Blogger instead
There is an article on the CNN website, which has COMPLETE quotes which are presented in COMPLETE sentences and not just "portions" of a sentence. This is what Qunicy has to say in the CNN article: "On Michael Jackson: The hardest worker I've ever seen. I see him every now and then. He sent me a couple of Halloween presents. I have to thank him for." "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

I honestly wonder how most black folks would feel if Michael officially said it was a mistake (all this horrible surgery). in his heart, can't see how he can possibly like what he sees these days. To me he was a beautiful man anyway, but surgery-wise, he should have stopped at how he looked at MOTOWN25/Billie Jean/Beat It. cute and still recognisable as MJ. Even when i listen to his stuff that was recorded after then, that's how i see him, it's weird.

He has been in the industry longer than most, that's why myself and others could never understand why he has messed up so badly, not only his face but everything else in his life.

'sright! to be that far, over and above everyone else (post-Thriller/Victory tour), and mess it up, just staggers me to the core. [Edited 12/18/08 13:29pm]

Though he changed his look, and personally I wished that he hadn't, the deed is done and we have to respect and accept it. Can you undo the things in your life that you've regret doing? Despite it all, his music and personality is mesmerizing.

MJ went to far and if you want to be upset with someone try his plastic surgeon, who kept taking his money knowing good and damn well that MJ was out of control. 1 over Jordan...the greatest since

I'd like Michael to explain why he hired a white sperm donor to father his "kids", and what's his problem with being black.

Quincy's daugthers Rashida and Kidada Rashida was the reason I got a boner watching "The Office". Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it. |
