This song is something "special". I think you gotta take it for what it is... a joyous melody children would love. Don't think too much of the fact Stevie Wonder wrote it!

Its a great song, a precursor to a Prince/female singer type thing, I love the harmony and I think Syreeta has a great voice, she was a neglected treasure at Motown
So what are u going 2 do? R u just gonna sit there and watch? I'm not gonna stop until the war is over. Its gonna take a long time

Wondered what "harmour" meant and found this :

Meaning : A protective strategy that damages more than protects.
Pronounciation : Similar to 'armour'
Usage : Careful with the cynicism, it can so easily become a harmour that's impossible to rid oneself off.
Root : Harm+Armour

Thought i heard Stevie singing some subtle vocals in the background.
I always gaze at Syreeta's glowing beauty rose dove

I just think this song is so great. I love Stevies 70s stuff and he was briefly married to Syreeta (Real name Rita Wright) when she was in Wonderlove. He even braided her hair at one stage.
She also has a great earlier song from 1967/68 called "I can't give back the love I feel for you". Its a shimmering piece of HDH pop, with a rising Diana Ross like crescendo and a supremes like back arrangement (Probably the Andantes), the song wasn't a big hit, but its great, its on the Hitsville Story 1959-1971 Disc 3 1966-69.
