What's your favorite R&B & Rap REMIXES from the 80's,90's, and early 2000's?

I'm looking for some classic REMIXES to fill up my Ipod. I'm tired of the todays music and the old regular classics you hear on old school radio all of the time. I want some classic jams to put on my IPOD. Please give me some ideas. They just don't make remixes like they used to.

And I'ma have to cosign on all this right here. That Quiet Storm remix is Lil Kim's best non-Biggie related work. And One More Chance will forever be a classic definitely better than the original. headbang Another remix that's better than the original is Brandy's I Wanna Be Down. dancing jig

How did I forget that one? nuts I'm not crazy bout the So So Def mix, but the original of those two is probably my favorite from her.

And I love the Def Club Mix of Fantasy (especially around the 6:00 and 9:00 minute marks). It's my favorite of her house mixes.

The So So Def Remix of Honey is my all time fave, Butterfly Remix, Always Be My Baby and the club remixes of We Belong Together are ridiculous! woot!

ALMOST ALL MARIAH'S rnb remixes ARE RIP OFFS and of old 80s groups. HAVE you heard of LOOSE ENDS

My all remix was ripped from this song

I like her remixes but its because she took the exact melody from the originals. SO that being said i don't give her credit, now if she came up with those remixes from scratch i would. JD ripped off songs so much.

She gave them credit.

Mariah did it a couple of other times (sampling for a remix)

Thank God I Found You (Make It Last Remix)
Samples Make IT Last Forever from Keith Sweat

Another (which is mentioned above) is the remix of Always Be My Baby. It samples the SOS Band's "Tell Me If You Still Care".

lolol she did A LOT OF TIMES, but i don't care to post all. but even heartbreak, fanstacy, honey, most of glitter, a lot of her albums she has taken music, and its NOT sampled, its the WHOLE MELODY, and some of the lyrics.

It's still considered "sampling" no matter what. Even if you use the music and re-write the lyrics.

Glitter was considered mostly remakes (because of the movie's era).

i like the "remixes' But i still don't give her credit for taking other melodies and just adding a few lyrics. ANYONE CAN DO THAT.

They might can do it. The trick is being GOOD at it. P. Diddy (or Puff or whatever his name is now) is really good at it. So are most of the former members of the Bad Boy record label.

so true, Bad Boy throught the 90s took every song they wanted from the 80s and 70s. Thats what their record company was built on: SAMPLING.

nod Bitch is bad when she cuts loose vocally on a remix. I find her albums WAY to safe yawn but she shows her true self much more on remixes.
