You didn't get the memo? We've decided to reject the ridiculous "new" name and go back to calling it "Heartbreak Hotel."
Great song regardless! "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

Just to avoid confusion, they didn't want to be seen as covering an Elvis track. Michael was not a fan of Elvis (as he wrote in Moonwalker), though he dug his daughter eventually!

That makes no sense at all Don't they realize that there are thousands of songs by different artists with the same title?! Hell,in 1998,Whitney Houston released a single called "Heartbreak Hotel"!

And all this time I thought I had hearing issues. Definitely preferred Heartbreak Hotel, since that's what I heard all along. "Funkyslsistah… you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude"!

This remains one of my favorite "Jacksons" jams. "Walk Right Now" deserves an honorable mention from this album. [Edited 12/12/08 14:48pm] "POOR IS THE MAN WHO'S PLEASURES DEPEND ON THE PERMISSION OF ANOTHER" Madonna
