But in all sincerity, as old fashioned as it sounds, out of superstition many women refuse to reveal whether or not they are pregnant until they are safely into their second trimester. There are a lot of tests that can be performed in month 4 that will give mom and fetus safe clearance for major medical issues, so a lot of ladies do duck and deflect addressing pregnancy publicly and directly until they have that blessed (and confirmed) reassurance that everything is okay. Antiquated, maybe...but not uncommon...

I really think this is the fault of the media. As soon as they start dating they start pushing marriage. As soon as you get married they start pushing babies and soon after or even before their pushing divorce or adultery. For all our chatter none of this is our business. This whole baby bump watch and Hollywood baby boom thing gets on my nerves. These folks may get enough pressure from family and friends without a journalist sticking a mic in their face and asking them such a personal question and I do think it's a personal question.

So now babies are the new celebs. Suri, Apple, Shiloh, Zahara, Brooklyn... How and why do we know these celebrity baby names (or is it just me? )? Do they have movies and albums out? They're just babies and toddlers for goodness sake.

Anyway, I don't think they should be pushing these people to have babies and asking them directly. As for Mariah and Nick, give them a chance to be married. It's only been six months! Damn.

As for Janet leaving it up to Jermaine, there may be more that we don't know about but it just reminds me of her career.
