We also must remember that she grew up in Texas. Her parents could have been bringing in $150,000 (combined income...give or take a few thousand) and live in a 3000 sq ft house and drive a Jaguar or Mercedes. Not to mention the $500 a month for private school. So, that doesn't surprise me at all. Also, the mom may have owned a hair salon, but she probably worked and did something else also.

As for the private school, I don't know. It seems like Matthew concentrated on Beyonce becoming a star more than he concentrated on her achieving an education. Yes, she may have been enrolled in that private school, but I'm sure whenever there was some type of competition, he pulled her to go compete. Besides, have you ever heard anyone mention the grades that Beyonce made while in school? Hell, even Bow Wow bragged about the As and Bs he made during home school.

1. WHAT private school did she attend? There is a very marked difference in the world of class and academia between going to a religiously affilated school and a college preparatory. St.Fill-In-The-Blank doesn't count, hon....You need to come up with Hathaway Brown, Spence, Phillips Exeter, Miss Porter's, Westpoint, or Hawken, dear...

and why does she not have a college degree from either an IVY LEAGUE or HBCU....? This is in no way to demean anyone who has chosen to take a break from schooling or not choose a 1st tier, 2nd tier,or historically landmarked school...but damn... she should AT LEAST be able to compete to get into some.kinda.institution. I don't recall her name being on the register of National Honor Society. Actually,I'm wondering can we even get this girl at least into the ACTOR's STUDIO????

2. Had she attended college there would be the question of how high she scored nationally on her SATs...as quiet as it's kept, the SATs were actually developed as a tool to help the best and the brightest in our country transcend traditional class structure, use and embrace their natural brilliance regardlesss of wealth or "pedigree" to become part of the upper echelon in our society. While Bey-Bey looks good shaking her rump in a miniskirt, I have a hard time to imagine her writing treatise on Locke, Adams, and Socrates, or constructing a traffic light, or discovering a hundred or so uses for the peanut or ways deconstruct and rebuild a human heart--or anything for the betterment of society that doesn't involve body glitter and melismatic screeching in some way.
