I got you would be my favorite Split Enz song. But as far as Crowded House goes there is just too many awesome songs to choose from to pick one Receiving transmission from David Bowie's nipple antenna. Do you read me Lieutenant Bowie, I said do you read me...Lieutenant Bowie

Resident #1 Crowded House and Finn fan here! My favorite Split Enz song is definitely "The Devil You Know." That song is just beautiful. "Poor Boy," "What's the Matter With You," and "One Step Ahead" are all up there as well, but I love a lot of Enz songs. (BTW, "I See Red" is actually from Frenzy, their 4th album.)
Now Crowded House is my favorite band of all time. I can honestly say there isn't a Crowdies song I don't love. AFAIC, Neil Finn is the most consistently brilliant songwriter to ever live. I have to go with "Don't Dream It's Over" as my favorite. It's my favorite song by anyone and it touches me in a way no other song does. I had already loved it, but it really helped me through a rough patch in my life. The rest of the cream from their flawless crop for me includes "Nails in My Feet," "Whispers and Moans," "In the Lowlands," "How Will You Go," "In My Command," and "Distant Sun." Tim Finn was the first one that I had the rock star crush on. I don't know what it was that I saw in him, and I didn't see it when I grew up, but there was definitely somethin'. Six degrees of separation goin' here, because his brother Neil worked with Wendy and Lisa, and they just released their new disc.

Do check out 'I'll Be Lightning', the debut by Liam Finn, Neil's son.....it's quite impressive and it shows that the genes are being passed on!

I wouldn't be the #1 Finn fan if I hadn't checked it out already! I'll Be Lightning is great. It made my top 10 list in both '07 and '08 and right now I have it as my 7th favorite album of the decade. I saw Liam open for Crowded House three times last year and he was awesome! I got to meet him after the show and he's just as down to earth as dad. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

I missed his first solo-gig here in Amsterdam not too long ago. Never caught CH live, I did see Neil numerous times, once with Johnny Marr!
