You're a strange one Under certain circumstances, urgent circumstances, desperate circumstances, profanity provides a relief denied even to prayer.

Sorry yall, but I did not like the performance.
I have really tried to like Jennifer Hudson's voice, but I don't think I ever will. She doesn't appear to have control over her big voice. Everything just comes out loud and harsh.

Jennifer Hudson is THE DIVA(still in training) to watch for. There aren't many female artists on the scene today with pipes like that. Sadly, the only thing that will hold her back from the equal success of her female counterparts today is the fact that she isn't a size 2, and shaking her half naked ass in every video. Love her or not, no one can deny that Jennifer Hudson is pure talent. Only people who appreciate real singers (not manufactured pop artist) will understand that. Aretha has light and shade in her voice, a great sense of dynamics. Jennifer hasn't. Some of you peeps confuse shouting with singing. Even when Aretha belted, she still had tone in her voice.

[Edited 12/9/08 18:44pm] She shows diversity in her abilities on the album and has great control. She doesn't shout on every song. If you haven't heard it, it tells what you have heard is are all the "big" songs that she has sung the way she was asked to Under certain circumstances, urgent circumstances, desperate circumstances, profanity provides a relief denied even to prayer.
