I have a HUGE confession to make I have hated on Britney Spears for years cause I don't like her voice and I hated her for copying everything of Janet's and making it more popular without people giving Janet props.
But I have finally admitted I FUCKING LOVE HER!!!! I've been having a marathon all night with her videos and album tracks I had always liked. Her voice sucks though, but that doesn't mean mine has to when I sing her songs I still wouldn't see her in concert though, she's not moving the same way as before anymore. I am replacing the oops CD I broke years ago and getting her greatest hits soon! I didn't know how much I missed hearing Sometimes, Drive Me Crazy etc. it made me think of carefree high school even though I would claim to hate on those songs then. [Edited 12/6/08 19:23pm] | |

Britney has ALWAYS given Janet props, and she has NEVER made her shit more popular than Janet's, FACT. Its just that she keeps raving on about Madonna most of the time. I miss the OLD BRITNEY SPEARS, i used to LOOVE HER SO MUCH. I liked her all the way until 2005 and after she got with Kfed i disliked her. She has no drive and her music is not that great IMO, and well i don't like the image and all that stuff she has done has turned me off. I would give her a chance but the music isn't good and her performanceS are LACK LUSTER. she looks like a highschool talent show. so until she steps up with atleast her performances i won't be buying anything from her. But i do the miss the old britney. and i have the greatest hits CD AND DVD and I LOVE THAT. YOU WILL SOOO ENJOY  |

I personally do not like her recent performances at all, her energy is so drained. I like several songs here and there on the new CD though it's far from her best. I love If You Seek Amy and Leather & Lace for example. Her best performances were probably during the time of her first 2 albums.
I don't plan to buy any DVD's, but yeah I've always known and liked her videos, though I would mostly compare her to Janet and Madonna who I prefer more. One time I had a fedora and someone said Britney and I was mad, cause it was mj inspired (though I know he's not the first either), that's what makes me mad. I don't think she's an icon or legend at all, she's just an unserious, fun, entertainer with some catchy tunes I think her writers are good, her voice is just annoying though she's had nice moments every now and then. I think smoking killed it. | |

Circus is a damn fine pop album--she finally nailed that mix of the old catchy Britney with the weird, club sound.
She has nothing to say as an artist, and her voice is pretty wretched, but when pop is pulled off this well, you just can't argue with it. [Edited 12/7/08 7:06am] | |

You dont have to love the woman herself....if the songs that people make for her catch the ear there is nothing you can do!
