Jam of the day: He's Too Tough for Me by Angela Bofill

She could sing! Sad she is forgotten. Angela is not in the best of health. She recently had a stroke.

Pretty woman, but her outfight makes her appear bigger.

I liked her single "Angel of the Night" when she sings it in English and Spanish. Was she latin? I'm glad to hear she's recovering from her stroke.

I admit, I never was a big Angela Bofill fan but this song was okay back in the day. I guess my ears and eyes were on other female artists back then like Whitney Houston, Janet Jackson, Angela Winbush, Mary Jane Girls, Sheila E., Anita Baker, and Teena Marie. By the way, I hope she recovering okay. My mom just recently had a slight stroke and I hope she can get back the way she used to be. My dad had a big stroke 3 years ago and coming along just fine. He's not at 100% the way he was before but close to it. Maybe 85-90%? Anyway, Angela I wish you well and quick recovery.
Peace and be wild!

Look at you, branching out into all these 80's oldie artists!!! lol

Yes, my dear, I could tell you some stories about all the junior high boys I had crushes on to this record...actually I think I pretty much wore out this album when it first came out, played it until the grooves were scratched to death in every direction. It was good daydreamin' music for thinking about boys on the basketball team giggle giggle giggle.

Before this song,Angela was primarily a Quiet Storm, jazzy singer (sorta like Sade and Phyllis Hyman) and her songs were classy and sophisticated. So,when I first heard this song,I was a little shocked..lol...the song contains a breakdown part where Angela actually says....

that's right baby
I want you right in between me
Not too big,not too small, just right
That's right!

eek back then,I assumed that she wasn't talking about what I thought she was talking about...lol...I said to myself "No,she's not a nasty singer!" lol

Love this song but love Angel in the night and most of all the beautiful Under the Moon and Over the Sky.
