Anyway, down to business. Here are my 5 most eagerly anticipated releases for the coming year. If you've been reading my posts in the "What Are You Listening To Now" threads, you've probably already seen me über-famming over some of these acts already. lol

FRANKMUSIK / Complete Me 」.early 2009

I play the HELL out of this guy. "In Step" was on my summer playlist and WORE it out. Loved the whole Frankisum EP and everything I've heard from the new album has been so good. I. cannot. wait. for. this. album. to. drop.

NOISEttes [album not yet titled] [Spring 2009] [snippets of "Wild Young Hearts" + "Don't Stop The Rhythm" can be currently heard on their myspace. Saw them in concert recently and heard 4 of the new tunes. THEY KICK MY ASS. I'm telling you.]
Mr Hudson [album not yet titled] [check what me and Cinnie were going on about previously, lolll]
Calvin Harris [album not yet titled] [mid-2009]
LMFAO [album not yet titled] [Spring 2009]

Also, I know you said 5, but I'm antsyyyy, I also wannnttttt
Tonight: Franz Ferdinand January 26, 2009! "Ulysses" is awesome!
The Count & Sinden [mid-2009]
Beth In Battle Mode album #2 [to be announced]

...and loads more.

PET SHOP BOYS / Love Etc. [new single, album yet to be titled]

http://www.petshopboys.co.uk/

New PSB single, album release info
Pet Shop Boys have announced their new album should be out March next year with a single to precede, at this stage Love Etc, co-written with Xenomania. The long-awaited album, now in final mixing stages, contains a number of tracks from the production and writing team behind Girls Aloud, Sugababes and Annie. But it won't all be swizzled-up 60s pop confections. Orchestral arrangements accompany at least two other known tracks, Legacy and Beautiful People, full string and brass sections have been recorded, and legendary ex-Smiths and Electronic guitarist, and longtime PSB-collaborator, Johnny Marr, featured on a number of tracks during the sessions. Behaviour meets Very perhaps?

In the meantime fingers crossed for a PSB mix of The Loving Kind, their co-written track for Girls Aloud, while mixes for their Sam Taylor-Wood production I'm In Love With A German Film Star, featuring Neil's backing vocals, are now available on UK iTunes. Check out this awesome Stuck In The 80s Mix by Mark Reeder.

Not sure where you found that but I was just on the site and the provisional release date is March 23rd for the album!

Hmmm....

I anticipate the following to have new albums out some point during the year... a couple are most definate.

1. Prince... I'ld be shocked if no release.
2. Maxwell... just a matter of time.
3. Janelle Monae... I really look forward to her next release
4. Van Hunt... I'ld be surprised if he don't deliver something
5. The Time... a possibility
6. And who ever I come across who makes some good shit worth hearing.

Well, that's my list. biggrin

I'm really not looking forward to ANYONE else's releases, not even Prince really, just Michael Jackson. I'll appreciate certain others (like Sade and Whitney for example), but I really only care to hear/see some good Michael Jackson next year.

And I pray Chris Brown and Akon are not involved with anything he'll be doing. neutral

I'm intentionally not looking forward to anything and trying not to find out what's coming out. Lately, I've been enjoying discoveries a lot more than stuff I've hyped myself up for.
