Tina Turner "We dont need another hero" Fitted perfectly with the Mad Max trilogy. Love the atmospheric feel of the track. Sure, it sounds like "whats love got to do with it (same writers and producers), but I much prefer the post apolalyptic lyrics with that killer middle 8.

the over-the-topness of the performance of this is a definite highlight of her current show, despite how incredibly corny it is. big white wig, shoulder pads, fireworks, post-apocalyptic tribal gear for the dancers, big giant scaffolding to climb on....

one of my my faves from the 80s. i remember as a kid when it would come on the radio, i would get completely quiet so i could hear every note. there werent a lot of songs i felt that way about. i'm not even sure what i liked about it. maybe everything. | |
