The Specials, The Faces Join Reunion Bandwagon

ELO, Deep Purple to Follow?

The Rock N Roll reunion bandwagon, which has welcomed 'The Police', 'Led Zeppelin', 'Take That' and 'Spice Girls' over the last couple of years, shows no signs of slowing down with more legendary acts confirming that they are getting back together in 2009.

Eighties ska band 'The Specials', whose hits include 'Ghost Town' and 'Too Much To Young', announced earlier this week that they will be reforming next spring for a UK tour and 'The Faces' including 'Ron Wood' and 'Rod Stewart' have revealed that they are to rehearse together again. The 'Jesus Lizard' have also recently confirmed their reunion as have new romantics 'Ultravox'. Damon Albarn has claimed that 'Blur' will get back together next year and rumors are circulating about 'Faith No More' doing the rounds.

Concert promoter Rob Hallett has also this week claimed that a major seventies rock band are to reform in 2009 for a tour with 'Black Sabbath', 'Deep Purple', 'ELO', 'Mott The Hoople' and the original 'Guns N' Roses' line up being touted by magazines and websites.

Other bands that have reformed for big money spinning tours over the last couple of years also include 'The Verve', 'Smashing Pumpkins', 'Rage Against the Machine', 'Crowded House', 'Jesus and Mary Chain', 'Yazoo' and 'James'.
