"Seventeen" by Bill Summers and Summers Heat This jam has totally been forgotten these days. Bill Summers and Summers Heat seemed to be getting a little rockish on this one back in 1982. It kind of reminds me a little bit of The Time's "Wild and Loose" except it's faster. Give it up y'all. Andy is a four letter word.

I have this album on vinyl Released in late 1982,it's much more pop/New Wave-sounding than their previous albums.Alot of synths.
As for the song "17",I like the ending when the guy and the girl sing it together... she's only 17 he's only 35 she's only 17 he's only 35

Hell, that bitch should have known me when I was 35. The home and job weren't shit (and still aren't) and as far as respectability.....I sure as hell wasn't Billy Graham. What's the rest of that album like? I've only heard "Seventeen" which I have on 45. Andy is a four letter word.

I haven't listened to it in awhile but I recall that most of the songs are very New Wav-ish.There's nothing here as funky as "Call It What You Want" or "Jam The Box".This album introduced a new sound for them.

As far as I can remember I didn't like the album. Their next album I believe was London Style which sucked to me also but had a killer song called London Town that literally made boot camp much more tolerable in 83. i was stationed at Great Lakes and the radio station used to play that and Out In The Night by Serge Ponsar. Loved those two songs. Upper persuasion for the lower invasion

to get an idea of how the "Seventeen" album sounds, here's the opening track "Kinky Dink"....
As you can see,it's very synth-heavy and New Wave-souding.Alot like the title track. The whole album is like this.
