I don't think it's laziness. I think it's caution and the matter of trust.
If you remember, we had this SAME EXACT thread a couple of weeks ago and basically laid down examples of stuff like the Victory tour, the tension while making the Victory album, the Moonie/South Korea incident in 1989, the Jackson Family Honors, Word To The Badd!, Jermaine and Randy nearly not doing the 30th Anniversary shows..... Not to mention Jermaine's greasy ass constantly talking about a tour when the other brothers only talking about a tour maybe once or twice in the past 15 years. "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

And that right there is the crux of the situation. When you get into bullshit you don't know is bullshit, you feel burned. I'm sure Michael won't mind doing anything with his brothers as long as it was done out of loyalty and love rather than a money issue. The more these "reunions" talk continue, the less that group is gonna matter. It took the damn BMI to bring to mind why the Jacksons were so important in the music industry but the damn tabloidism that is attracted around them is only making certain siblings look silly. Like I said, do it or don't do it at all.

I hear ya timmy84 ..Raphael would add to MJ sound look...madonna is the really fit and even she looks slow moving around the stage with Props at 50, saw prince last year he was good but we could see him slow down his act to keep up with the pace of live gigs, mike just can't do the same high energy on his own ...and we don't want him lipsync his way through a 1.30-2.00 hour show ...do we? I agree he needs to get back with his brothers
I think it would do him well. Instead his working with teeny boppers like Akon, Ne-Yo and Will.i.am - Whats up with that?

He isn't washed up yet but doing a golden oldies show with his brothers would be a step in that direction. A Jackson 5 reunion is a bad idea.

Personally , I don't even think he should do a comeback

Michael ain't the artist he once was and reuniting with his bros would be a good move. After all I believe albums like Triumph & Destiny are better than some of his solo stuff, however I doubt any reunion would work, for a start he doesn't even look like a Jackson...anymore!!

LondonStyle said: Come on he's acting like a washed up singer...maybe because he is, his best move now would be to get back with his brothers ..he would at least have a band that worked and have an act...it sad to say it but he's lost the plot!
They could still get a CD out that not a joke he last one had some good trax but the money is made now days live...mike to lazy to get in the gym with his brothers workout and get on the road..he still wants to be a star and demand star monies...record companies are not going to pay! Face it jacko studio albums take you to much money to produce and having teen boppers like ne-yo and A - CON (akon) can only take your cd sells so far.. Look it would be a tribute to james and the greats who have passed by if he got back with his brother and re-writes HIStory so it ends with some class. Their i've said it I think BECAUSE he's 50 he shouldn't make music with his brothers again. My interpretation of Michael's life is, that he feeled repressed by his family and business men when he was a child and teenager. One of the major key words of MJ's life was control! He so hard tried to gain control over his life with his solo career. He made it bigger WITHOUT his brothers, he had control over his face... And suddenly, around 1984, he became a bit crazy and lost the control again, NOTHING would disgust MJ more than return with his brothers. Also I don't want to listen to his brothers. I only bought Triumph and Deestiny because MJ wrote most of the songs and sings lead.

Michael needs to get with program. There's a lot of money to be made with a Jackson 5 tour Under certain circumstances, urgent circumstances, desperate circumstances, profanity provides a relief denied even to prayer.

Annika said: How is getting back with the group he was with as a child/young adult "growing up"? Seems more like trying to relive the past to me.
AMEN!!!!
Plus, MJ is "an act that works" all by himself, at least in terms of bringing in the money. People will still pay money to see him perform, I suspect. Far fewer people would pay to see the Jackson 5/Jacksons perform - they would still be going to see Michael Jackson, not the other 4/5 middle aged guys on stage with him. Why should MJ want History be a tribute to JB/other greats? It's by far his most personal album, and it's about him, not his idols. (And I happen to love it just the way it is.) His brothers are all "wannabes" that are hanging on his coattail. Michael does not gain anything by letting them tag along. There is no "growing up" involved in his decision to stay solo. DON'T LISTEN TO THEM, MIKE!!!!
