91.5 Million in America 207.5w/Eruope Madonna is Still Sweet Tour grosses for North America announced
The 28 dates on Madonna's just-concluded North American jaunt grossed about $91.5 million and moved about 550,000 tickets, according to tour producer Arthur Fogel, chairman of global music for Live Nation. The venerable performer wrapped the North American leg of her Sticky & Sweet tour Wednesday in front of 50,000 people at Dolphin Stadium in Miami. She then headed to Mexico City for shows Saturday and Sunday. Counting her European run, Madonna is at about $207.5 million in ticket sales and on a pace to hit about $282 million when the Mexico / South America leg of the tour wraps. That would make Sticky & Sweet the top-grossing tour ever by a female artist or solo artist. The tour, supporting her album 'Hard Candy,' concludes with three nights December 18-21 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. From Reuters/Billboard You CANNOT use the name of God, or religion, to justify acts of violence, to hurt, to hate, to discriminate- Madonna

Well I am shocked at how people are saying that this album aint no good but the damn thing outselling her other tours I looove this album and I think its the best thing she has ever done outside of the first album and Like A Prayer. The success is rightfully hers in my opinion. [Edited 12/2/08 7:33am] Straight Jacket Funk Affair

No. That huge figure is just gross ticket sales. After taxes and expenses, she takes a huge chunk, Live Nation takes a cut...I think the deal was worth $120 million over 10 years for her? No way is she taking home $120 Million on this tour alone. I'll leave it alone babe...just be me

yeah, the LiveNation deal is for ten years.Madonna has to do three more tours during that time. Her tours easily gross over $200 million,so do the math....that's alot of cash being made. This deal is one of her smartest career moves.
