This song sounds much better with Hyman`s voice.

I`m not too crazy about Chaka`s solo debut, although "Love has fallen on me" is one of her best songs.

But to be honest though, it took me some time to fully get into her debut myself,,,,,I'm so CRAZY about it not the best material she could've chose, but I love the stripped down rough production,,,,it complimented her voice.

I dig Phyllis' version but I like Chaka's more

I like Chaka's better.

Chaka, Gorrie, Stuart, and Will Lee backing vocals seem to fit this song better than Hyman's backing vocalist. I still like Phyllis version, which may be jus' a lil' too polished in spots.

She had a somewhat core group of session musician from her debut LP in '78, '80, and '81. ..and we all know Mardin's input on her solo career.
