PrintableI admit that I think Brit's new album is her best so far. BUT: Madonna's simply more intelligent and deeper.
You can say about her talent whatever you like, but she always had the control over her private and public life. Also she really cares about her songs. I mean, it's obvious the lyrics are hers! And I'm sure she has written some of the melodies of her songs, whereas Britney did NOTHING like that. She just sings somebody's elses words and melodies, people who think what fits Britney's life. But Brit has little influence on her "art". Also Madonna brings the very best of her collaborators. I mean, she worked with those Swedish guys for Get Together, such a beautiful and haunting song. The same guys wrote songs for Britney, but they don't have the quality and character of Madonna's songs. Also I think Madonna brought the very best outta Pharrell. He did his best work since Justified. Or is there anyone who really thinks his songs with Kenna are better than Madonna's? | |

That said, I doubt anyone can ever have a career like Madonna. I think that that particular type of superstar can no longer exist in the entertainment world. Sure you'll find those that have longevity, but none will ever match Madonnas Super (or Mega) star status. I agree with everything you said.In many ways,Madonna is one of a kind.None of these current female artists will be able to have that kind of career. Nevermind. It was a stupid question. When you have held that title for years as being the Queen of Pop, and a younger face comes in the picture, you want to maintain that crown. An ego comes from fear, and she has it big time. Though that video was funny, it demonstrates my point. It is strange how Britney lost her mind after she kissed her in MTV, my opinion. | |
