I like all of those choices, but Steely Dan made the best use of a Horace Silver sample for their classic "Rikki Don't Lose That Number."

You know, I didn't see it in the CD liner notes! Not like the Dan not to give credit where credit's due. Maybe I missed it. Not sure if Horace Silver ever took them to task for this. Keith Jarrett did for the tune Gaucho and now has a writing credit. ('Long as You Know You're Living Yours being the Jarrett tune) tA  Tribal Disorder
