[Edited 11/30/08 16:34pm] i have a virtural 3way tie between Bad Girl, Oh Father, and Like a Prayer followed by Bedtime Story Vogue and Open Your Heart. But I think Oh Father has the best emotional impact so I made it my fav You CANNOT use the name of God, or religion, to justify acts of violence, to hurt, to hate, to discriminate- Madonna

[ EVERYBODY (1982) I love that it was filmed @ the old Danceteria nightclub in Lower Manhattan in 1982. If I were my age now in 1982 and lived in New York, I *KNOW* I would've frequented that club if I was old enough. I love that the dancefloor is dark and people are just vibing. Anytime this song comes on @ a club in New York, it's just PERFECT. ] [ HUNG UP (2005) Because it's filmed in my city: Los Angeles. And there's krump dancers -- a continuation of a long heritage of L.A. streetdance: Campbellocking, popping, krumping. Plus, Stuart Price produced it and it's my favorite Madonna album. And I like the scene when they are battling on the train and a chick jumps in like "fuck y'all." Does her thing, then walks off. [3:34 - 3:43] *____* Plus, I have great club memories attached to this song around the time it came out. I was dancing to this @ clubs in New York and Hollywood. It's a snapshot of my life. ]

"Lucky Star"
The navel, her youth, the street urchin style, the dancing, the writhing... but mostly it is because of her very seductive eyes that just seem to keep gazing and staring... During the shooting of the "Lucky Star" video, Erica Bell served another function as well [as being one of the two backup dancers]. "For her close-ups, Madonna told me to stand where she could see me," she recalled. "She said the video would be that much better if she could sing the song to someone she loved."
It worked. | |

Good picks everyone.
Maybe her simplest and most glamourous moment is the "I Want You" video. Maybe her most underrated and overlooked single too.

That song is very early childhood for me. [favorite part: 1:40 - 1:57] LIGHT UP MY LIFE so blind I can't see... LIGHT UP MY LIFE... no one can help me now. I requested this on the radio when I was in elementary school[!] I love the song, let me just post it. One of my FAVORITE childhood songs. [Edited 12/1/08 10:54am]
