Curtis Mayfield was an originator. Before Dr. Dre, Puffy, Pharrell, Kanye, ect, he was the first producer to be on his artist tracks.

Yeah he was in a wheelchair after that terrible freak accident on stage. He passed away almost 9 years ago in 1999. PRINCE: Always and Forever
