And those of you who claim she's Kate Bush wannabe aren't really familiar with her entire catalogue. Yeah, maybe she's more sexy than pretty. She gives me a boner just when she's talking. But the girl's definitely a wannabe poser. She plays the role of an "artist", but it's all affectation. A hollow pose. She plays on the myth that real artists are all "kooky", and weird. The fact is there are tons of kooky people out there who have no more artistic talent than your average bank manager. Being quirky does not of itself make you an "artist". Songs like iieee, Mohmammed My Friend and Playboy Mommy are most certainly the work of a true "artist"... who the fuck are you to define who is a true artist or not anyway? | |
