Coldplay "Prospekt's March" EP This is mainly a collection of Bsides, or songs that will be bsides of would have been bsides. But with that said these are not songs that shouldnt have made the album. A 7 song collection, 2 of which are really just re-mixes, one being the Current single "Lovers in Japan" which is good, not good is the "Lost" remix with Jay Z, the main problem is that you can hear where he is mixed in, its uninspired laziness from Jay which has been his issue for awhile now, his trademark "ah yeah ah yeah" has got to be retired next.
Other tracks include Life in Technicolor II- good instrumentation, good vocals Glass of Water- another good song, acoustic, the first line is almost "fix You" Rainy Day - lots of beats looped, along with a solo piano and vocals Prospekts March- slow tempo very acoustic, low vocal Now my feet wont touch the ground - Very similar to previous song also on this ep a very short classical piano piece called "Postcards from far away" All in all a good set minus the "Lost" jay z remix which could have stayed a bside or in a vault. nothing really out of the ordinary in tone for the previous record, this goes along nicely and could have just been a double album. From everything that I have read on www.coldplaying.com Coldplay have been bringing the world 2 its knees!! They have been packing out arenas and their actual show has been totally kick-ass!! They have come along way since the "Yellow" days(which, beleive it or not, was only 8 years ago!!) and now they are a major league mega band!!!!! Love them or hate them - COLDPLAY ROCKS!!!!!

I love them too. They're not only a great band, but great businessmen as well. They could have given away all these songs a bonus tracks or b-sides. But they release a big EP which will sell at leats another million, simply it's Coldplay.

And yet at the same time they really care for their fans, by giving us fans things like this EP!! If u go 2 www.coldplaying.com I think there is a link where u can download the EP tracks for free!!
I really think that Prince should take a lesson or 2 from them in the way they treat their fans!!!!!

The thing is, if u told me 3 or 4 years ago that I would b a huge Coldplay fan in the future I would have gone into convulsions of laughter and said "GET OUTTA HERE!!!!", But then I heard Fix You when it was released and I was immediately sold!!!!!
Personally, I feel that Chris Martin is the sexiest thing 2 have ever come out of the UK and that, to me, is saying something, cos I dont think British men are the slightest bit sexy!!!!!

If you delete Lost+ and Lovers in Japan Osaka Mix, the album is good.. the b-sides actually rival the album songs. [Edited 11/27/08 12:09pm]

I wouldn't go that far. I share the contempt for "Lost+" and I find the new mix of "Lovers in Japan" completely unnecessary. However, although I like the rest of it, particularly "Glass of Water," I don't think anything here deserved to boot an album track or get tacked on to it. One of the reasons I think this is easily their finest album is how concise and focused it is. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

I think Prospekt March and Now My Feet Won't Touch the Ground could easily replace a track or two from the album. Chinese Sleep Chant & Lovers in Japan would get the boot for me. Lovers in Japan Acoustic could rival any of those song.. and it's a shame that song wasn't on the album. It's a completely different feel.

"Prospekt's March" would work, but I'm not sure the album would benefit from adding it at the expense of "Lovers in Japan." "Chinese Sleep Chant" is like the glue that holds things together, so there's no way I'd ever advocate cutting it. For my money, "Lost?" is the cream of the crop. Perhaps we can look forward to an acoustic version of the album. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

Definitely. Like I said, "Lost?" (the acoustic version) is my favorite track of them all. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

Definitely. Like I said, "Lost?" (the acoustic version) is my favorite track of them all. I agree. I hope on their next single maybe they will continue to put out a few more acoustic tracks.. it's very reminiscent of the parachute days..

I've been diggin on Martin's vocals on the two tracks on that old Faultline Album. Where is my boy is the closest Martin has ever gotten to an electronic song.. and it works fluently well!
