Was Roger Taylor of Queen seeing further into the future more than anyone in music???

Back in 1983 in an interview Roger Taylor was working on a song called "Radio Ga Ga" at that time called "ca ca" then changed to Ga Ga. But in this interview Roger poiinted out that "visual" would be the eventual death of Radio or what was the "music". The line "radio someone still loves you" is not so much for radio as it was for the artist in general. This song turned out to be another anthem for Queen, ironically won them many "video" awards, for the Metropolis like effects and footage.

But further looking and everything said came true, MTV took over in that age, but then "all media" took over forming one giant media industry, and lost were those that didnt fit all the forms of media. Another quote that i heard really tells the story , it was from Dee Snider of Twisted Sister, he said "once MTV took over, people that didnt look the part, like a "Joe Jackson" or "Colin Hay" were gone from the mainstream slowly, till they all vanished to an underground status". And hes totally right, you now have to fit every form of media or you dont get a push, and if you dont have the "look" you have a gimmick, ala Katy Perry, or if you have a fresh talent like a Amy Whinehouse, they have to be a freak of nature or some kind of dope head with "headline tabloid stories".

Roger Taylor is Nostradamus

"We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F
